I've got a minute on the computer.
It is snowing today, everyone is staying home. I love when Tara is home all day, and I can cuddle with her!
The other good part about a snow day is that Martha feeds the birds on the patio and I can watch them. Dreaming about catching them!

Last week my people kept telling me I was "broken". I didn't really know what that meant, except that I could not jump up on the places that I love. I don't like sleeping on the floor, but I just couldn't get myself up onto Tara or Martha's bed.

I think Martha got pretty annoyed at me when I would meow meow meow near her bed, but when she would try and pick me up I would run away, until I realized she was just trying to help me get up!

We cuddled a lot last Saturday, Tara had a friend over, and I get ignored when that happens!

I am better now. I got all the way up on the top bed in Tara's room this morning. That is my favorite place to sleep! Next I will try jumping to the top of the tall cabinet in the living room, I'm almost at the top of the house when I get up there!

I really hate when Martha sticks that thing in front of my face, but at least the flashy thing didn't go off!
I'm kind of handsome, don't you think?

I hope every one has a good holiday! I like having the tree up inside the house again! My family is not going anywhere for the holiday. I think I am glad they don't go on vacations like Lucy and Luna's families! I would miss them too much!

Hello, it's been a really long time again.

Martha and Tara are both gone today, so I have time on the computer.

I don't like this time of year, the windows in the house are closed and I can't smell the fresh air, or the other cats outside.

Tara is gone all the time now. She goes to something she calls school all day (she says some not so nice things about it, words I won't use!) Lately there are lots of nights that she is not in her bed when it is dark. I don't know where she goes. She says she is at a friend's?

This is how I spend a lot of my time!

I haven't been on the computer (well, I have been ON the computer every time Tara or Martha try to do something, I think it is funny to sit on the mouse!) to update my blog since New Year's!

I turned FIVE this past week, and you know what... there was no PARTY! Hissssss!

Life as a cat is pretty much the same every day... especially those of us who are inside cats. I try and scratch through the glass to get out, but it hasn't worked yet.

Instead, I sit in the window or at the patio door and watch squirrels (Martha likes to feed them peanuts, so they have a little party on the patio!) and birds!

Martha is always sticking a phone or a camera in my face to take a picture of me.... but yesterday I decided I wanted my picture taken when she had her little "studio" set up! Handsome aren't I?

Tara has had a friend over for what seems like ever. (3 nights) I like Tiana, but will be glad when I can have Tara to myself again!

I got a new bowl and some treats, and Tara didn't have to go to school every day so I got to spend more time with her.
Today, she is back in school, so I am doing my 3rd favorite thing.... bird and squirrel watching!

It's been a REALLY long time since I got on the computer to update my blog. I've been too busy you know, taking naps and watching the birds and the squirrels.

It is much quieter around the house in the day time now since Tara goes to school (whatever that is)... I just know that the one called Mom, wakes Tara up every morning and makes her leave the house. I would much rather she let her stay in bed with me.

Tara stayed home this day with something called a headache.. I slept near her head to make sure it was okay!

Spring is in the Air

It has been some time since I've been allowed on the computer, there has not been much blogging going on here lately!

Spring is here, and the past few days it has been raining. Lucky for me I took a little adventure LAST week when it was sunny out, but a little chilly at night!

I decided I wanted to explore the woods I could see from the windows and ran out of the house early one morning much to Martha's dismay.

I can't tell you what I did, it is a secret. I made a new friend, she sat outside my house on two days while I was gone. Martha says it gave her hope that I was close by.

Early on Friday morning Martha said something told her to get up (I really think she just wanted to see if her tax return was in her bank account), and she looked outside to see me run from the patio. I was there eating the little bit of food she had put outside. I guess she didn't want me to fill up too much when they weren't watching!

I decided then that I really wanted to come home, but I was a little nervous. I cried loudly, but made Martha and Tara work to get me back inside. Finally, I let Martha get hold of me, and she held me tight so I would not jump out of her arms. Tara was so happy when she saw I was finally back in the house.

I think the dog was glad to see me too. I was happy to be back inside, but will remember my adventures.

My girlfriend came to the door on Saturday, but Tara told her I was GROUNDED FOR LIFE, and we would have to just visit through the door!

Since I can't go outside and "play" with the birds and squirrels I watch all day, I have to find things in the house to hunt. Not easy here, because we have no lizards or palmetto bugs like we did in Florida. I have found that Tara's hair elastics once chewed apart are worm like. She gets made at me because I am ruining them all.... Mom tells her to keep them where I can't find them! I also love the plastic seal that is around the Starbuck's Frappucino bottles that Tara loves so much.. .but those pictures will have to wait for another day, I think the one I had this week is now in the trash!

Hey everyone. I've just been hanging out again this week. Not much else to do when you never leave home. I have enjoyed playing with the plastic wrapper I found on he floor from a Smart Balance tub. I also was playing with Princess' ear this morning. She didn't like that much. I smelled a new dog in the house, but there were two other humans too, so I stayed hidden! The dog and other people left, so the house is safe again!

I've heard rumors that Vicki and James should be home this weekend. I hope Lucy updates her blog soon! I miss her!

My favorite past time! Martha feeds the birds (and the squirrels) they come up on the patio and sometimes up to the door! (Excuse the crocs.. they are Martha's) and if you click to see a bigger picture... ignore the nose smudges on the glass.. that's the DOG that does that!

I've been busy, SLEEPING, HUNTING (a bug with lots of legs YUMMY!), and PACING the house the past couple of days. Martha keeps asking me what my problem is, and if I am bored. She took a video of me... now don't make fun of me. I was watching a SPOT on the wall. In my defense, just a few minutes earlier that is where I found the above said delicious bug! She thought it was funny that I kept trying to knock it down! Later Tara taped a creepy crawler to the wall, thinking I would swat at it, but before they got a chance to video me, being the MIGHTY HUNTER that I am, I ripped it off the wall!

I've been so busy watching squirrels, birds and leaves, as well as napping, that I have not blogged in 24 days. I'm sorry! I hope you all have been having fun doing your favorite things.

Sorry, it's been a few days, I'm just not as good at this blogging thing as some of my friends. My "people" don't buy me ~~funny~~ cute costumes to wear and stuff, so most days my life is pretty boring! Watch the squirrels, chase the dog, ~~drool over~~ watch over the guinea pig, eat, drink and you know.... Tara and Martha have been busy ~~arguing~~ doing school work, so they can't help me much during the day!

I did want to share this with you... isn't that other cat cute? Tara painted it in ceramics and it is supposed to be me! I think it's pretty cool. I saw Martha take the head off though....I hope they don't think they can do that to me?

I love this toy. It is so fun to play with. I like when Tara plays with me, but sometimes I like to just grab onto it and run through the house. I need a new one, this one has lost almost all it's feathers, but they say they can't find one. They've bought me other things, but none are as fun as this toy! 7 Pawsome Things about Me

Lucy tagged me with this last week, and I am just now able to get some help with it!
I am supposed to tell you 7 things that make me pawsome....which of course, I am! Lucy is REALLY cute, even though she is older. MEOW!

1) I was born in Tara's bed. This is me on the day I was born - 3/26/2006. I had one brother Simba, and three sisters, Nala, Sarabi and Kiara. We were named after Lion King characters.

2) When I was a little over one, I got out of the house one day, and I was gone for 18 days. It's a hard time to think about, but I found my way back home one morning at 4:30am. Martha heard me crying and was able to coax me back into the house. Tara was very happy to see me! I have a chip out of one of my ears from the experience. I also don't like being in closed places. They think I might have been trapped somewhere or else I would have come home sooner! I was pretty clean and it had rained alot, but I was skinny1

3) I like to jump and be in high places - I was about 12 weeks old here.

4) I like marshmallows and pasta

5) I lived with my cat mom until we moved. She went to a new home. I am the only cat that lives with my family now. Here I am with my mom when I was 4 weeks old!

6) I have a dog and a guinea pig for pets! This is Princess with all of us when we were just 2 days old. We lived in the master bedroom closet/bathroom when we were very little.

7) I like to play with rope and my toy with the feather on the end. I run up and down the hallway pulling the rope behind me. They never know where they will find it. I am good at doing flips and stuff too. We just don't have any pictures of it!

New Bed

Tara got a new bed. I was not so sure I liked it at first. I have to jump high to sleep with her. It does have a place to sleep on the bottom, but the dog likes that! I had a few accidents the first days, knocking stuff off the shelf of Tara's desk, but I've got it figured out now.

This was where I slept before! I hate when they take pictures of me when I am sleeping and that bright light goes off!

Hi, I'm Kovu T. Kat (Kovu the Kat).

I see all you other cats (and dogs too) that have blogs and I wanted one too. My grown up human , said that she is too busy with her blogs already, so if I want this, than my favorite (and smaller human) will have to help me!
Until a couple moons ago, we lived in a different place, that I shared with three other girl cats, 2 dogs and guinea pigs. When we moved they had to find new families for most of my. I was the little humans favorite pet (I was born in her bed -I know ewww), so I got to come along and continue to live with them. I am a very lucky cat. I now share a home with three humans, one BIG dog and one guinea pig. I of course of the KING. King Kovu! I rule over our home day and night (I'm not allowed to go outside. When I was only one, I got out of the house, and I was gone for 18 days!)
I don't miss much about our old house (except my friends) except for my "wall". I had a wall I could sit on top of and see my entire kingdom! Today I felt the need for the excitement of altitude, so I hopped on the washer, then on top of the refrigerator. The humans didn't think it was such a good idea.
Maybe they will think I am a loaf of bread? White, wheat or rye?
